06: Connection

While there are sure and genuine benefits to isolation, there is a severe unnatural bent to a constant or continuous isolation. This is because connection is craved universally by people on even the simplest levels. 

As a child I saw very early the earnest desire for love in most everyone I knew; and as I grew to be an adult, I began feeling that same desire as well. 

In my contemplation of why this is, I have discovered that connection molds a bond between people that gives them the experience of something that seems either theoretical, or transcendent and immaterial, in a way that nothing else can. 

To be understood and to understand; to be loved and to love fills the largest percentage of the purpose in one’s life that one desperately seeks.
